re: what do you think of this diaper bag?

posted 13th Aug
yeah, IDK if my BF would like carrying around a bag with flowers on it, but I still love it. what about this bag as a more versatile choice?

It is uber expensive on babiesrus, but I can usually find the same products at acheaper price on amazon or ebay.

I'd spend the money on it... I think with all the extras it comes with it will be a good investment. The one I found and fell in love with is 120 dollarsso I'm hopeing it will be worth it, but I do love it... either way get something you know you are going to like, and use.

Just get the biggest one you can! LoL we have a pretty big one and we STILL can't get everything in there. Then again, I'm the type to carry EVERYTHING with me for a 5 min trip to the grocery store, "just in case". LoL

Quoting Jamie729:“ FYI, sometimes the hospital will send you home with a diaper bag from a formula company (I've gotten one the last 2 pregnancies).”
Mine does that too~ whether you formula feed or breastfeed~ that would be the one my hubby will be using if he's gonna be picky! lol

lol~ yea I don't care for that one much~ Just call your hospital & find out if you receive a complimentary bagwhen you deliver~ then get the one you want & your BF can carry the free one~ that's how I'll do it~ however I'm a SAHM, so DH won't be toting a diaper bag around much

I got a diaper bag from Pottery Barn...it was a gift, but I think it was only $35 and it is sooo awesome. I have it in black, and you can get it monogrammed if you want (I didn't) and it holds EVERYTHING. I'm the kind of girl who carries a giant purse, so I just wanted a large tote that I could throw all the baby's stuff as well as mine into. This bag is perfect because its big, has lots of compartments, has a diaper changing pad, and is neutral enough that my husband can carry it around too. Plus its super sturdy and made really well.

I got three (yes - THREE) free diaper bags from the hospital when I left, but they are all really small...kinda like a medium sized purse. Two Similac ones and an Enfamil one too. They would be good for just a really quick trip somewhere, but I can't fit much more than a few diapers and an outfit in there. Then again, I'm one of those moms who takes a million things with me everywhere I go like someone else said - "just in case".

No I meant for her BF to carry. I guess it all depends if your baby is going to daycare or not~ since I am a SAHM, my hubby won't be taking a diaper bag much

Yeah same here...that's why I like the big giant bags. I doubt my husband would ever need to be alone with him where he would need the bag for leaving the house. I have my free ones stashed away on the chance that maybe someday I will use them for something.

If your baby is in daycare do you just leave the bag there with them? I guess I never really thought about that.

Theparents I babysit for bring a diaper bad w/ them, When my daughter went to daycare, I also took her diaper bag everyday~ I always put the same amount of diapers in (like 15) that way I could tell how many times she had been changed throughout the day, I also took her bottles already filled so I knew they were made right.
As far as the free bags, I always kept one of them packed in my car just in case~ I put a few diapers, wipes, ready to feed formula all that stuff in case I forgot the regualr diaper bag.
