I didn't know where else to post this... and I just really need to get it out.

Dear Stacey,

You made the world a better place. You gave hope to people who were so far gone. Your smile could light up a room. Your laugh was infectious. You are the most amazing person I have and will ever meet.

It wasn't fair for that doctor to lie. Why in God's name would he do an experimental procedure without you or your parents knowing? Maybe to look like a God if it worked. It was unfair. You deserved to get the perfect set. You gave up your first set of lungs to your friend because you thought she needed them more. You were the least selfish person to grace this earth.

I hope you know I am trying to help your family as much as I can. I am trying to promote organ donation awareness. It was your passion.

I am not the same person since you left. I am a far better person for having you in my life. You inspire me everyday. I thought time would heal, but it hasn't. Each day just seems harder. I am at a low point and I need you more than ever.

Please keep me safe. Please keep Ella safe. Please watch out for your family. Take care of Jeff up there.

Jeff was scott's best friend since he was 2... he was shot and killed in January.

there are 5 lobes in your lungs. the doctor decided to give 2 lobes to stacey and 3 to another girl... to see if one set of lungs could go to 2 people. neither stacey or the other girl knew about this (there is a massive lawsuit against him now)

they both died after about 3 weeks of being on life support.

talking about organ donation is helpful in a way for me. stacey spent her life talking about it... and i want to carry that on.
