My first time being judged

I hear BG members talk ALL THE TIME about being discrimated against for their age in respect to having children. I never understood because I've never had a problem. That just changed. About a month ago an elderly couple came to the door and gave me a little book. They didn't say anything else and were on their way. The book was religious in context and I threw it away. Well I look out my window and I see the same people coming to my door. I answer it and the first thing out of the lady's mouth is "oh, are you baby sitting?" No genious, I live here, this is my house, my kids. So she gives me this funny sideways look like I'm lying. She asks how long I've lived here. Since May I tell her. Again she looks at me like I'm a moron and asks me the same question.. I tell her I remember her from the last visit. She asks if I read the book. I tell her no. She asks if I want another book. I tell her no. Then she proceeds to just stare at me for like 30 seconds, waiting for me to look away or something. Then she asks if I want a book to "help me with my kids". So I asked her if she came to be judgemental or if she was actually serving a purpose. She gave me a dirty look and walked back down my driveway. Her husband (I assume) mumbled something and also walked away. What the hell? Seriously, you think you're doing god a favor with an attitude like that? Ugh, I'm just disgusted. Probably totally over-reacting, but oh well.

I've had that happen to me before. I opened the door with the baby on my hip and no ring on my finger and they went off about unwed mothers and needing Jesus. I have all the Jesus I need. Thanks. She also goes by Tink

I bet they are Jehovah's Witnesses, we have some around our neighborhood that give those books away as well. I always make sure to wear my Church of Steel tattoo parlor tank top when I answer the door.  

That's horrible. .That they came to your house and started judging you. Don't answer the door next time.

After the day I've had today, elderly or not I would have kicked her ass!

Seriously. Stupid people. And to the post below tinks (I'm too lazy to quote again) they are JW, but I didn't want to call them out. I'm over it.  

some churchies think they are better than every one else because they have a "personal relationship" with god. i bet you met some of them

what makes u think she was being judgemental of you. she sounded like she's was just being old. she sounds like she could be my grandmother. every time i see my grandmother she tells me not to have anymore. i'm like i only have one and another on the way. but she was saying that when i wasn't pregnant. i get asked all the time if i'm babysitting. no one believes my daughter is mine. i don't know if its because i don't look 31 or is it because my daughter is so much darker than me.

I used to live in Milwaukie Oregon btw and also had 2 kids by age 22. I hated the babysitter questions when I would take my kids to school.
Now 12 years later pregnant with the thrid I'm hoping for the babysitter question and not grandma lol.

I made a career out of working with elderly. This woman was a bitch, and not because of her age.

Haha, I think I love you. My friend's dad used to make a point of having a porn video blasting when they came knocking on his door.
