need info on govt assistance in San Diego

hey ladies so i was going to move back to mississippi BUT since my dad got a round trip ticket cause it was cheaper then i decided that im going to move back to cali cause i miss it an there NOTHING for me to do in mississippi plus min wage is soo low ugh anyways i need advice on what i can apply for as a 19 yr old single mother in San Diego.Ill be living in downtown sd in the gaslamp district with a friend until i can maybe get into some state housing or whatever its called lol..so any headsup advice would be soo grateful!!

since you dont live at home you can get pretty much everything.. in in centeal Cali but its pretty much the same... just make sure you let them know everything is seprete including food and cooking it..

and the name of the housing is called HUD housing..

thanks!! can i apply for it all online or do i have to actually go somewhere to apply for it? and if so how long does it normally take to get approved?

i got just got off tanf.. well i still get transistional food stamps for 5 months (so i can get on my feet) but our best bet it to go to the welfare office.. .. and the housing.. look up Housing Authority.,.. it takes a bit to get in.. and its 30% of your income (they told me that once theres an apt availible it wouldbe about 350 a month all utlities included)

hmm okay so you think i can get tanf? i thought i had to be under 18 to get that. lol sorry about all the questions ha so what all does tanf do? and do you really think i can get approved for the HUD?

under 18 i believe is "callearn" im not sure though.. i was 19 and pregnant when i got tanf.. i was even living at home.. we said i pay rent and i have a seperete living quarters.. and i got it

HUD is for low income.. i "gross" 1500 a month and I was approved and put ont he waiting list.. i have a friend in hud housing who gets welfare only and doesnt ave a job yet ..

im not an expert.. i know with my case..

they even paid for my job training (18 week course to be a CNA.. ) and i got a job soon after.. then i got off.. i made like 50 bucks to much
