pp bleeding/period [tmi]

i stopped bleeding 3 weeks after i had my son, then for two weeks i had just the white/clear-ish discharge. tomorrow will be exactly 6 weeks pp, and last night my discharge was brown-ish, then this morning i had a little bit of dark red blood, and just now it was brown again. is this normal? could i be starting my period already? & do i have to reschedule my 6 week post partum doctors appointment if i am on my period?

that sounds like your pp period. My first PP period was black gooey sometime brownish-red.
My doctor said it was normal.

edited to add: i got my period 6 weeks pp.

also... i wouldnt rescheduale your pp check up!

thank you, i just wasnt sure because i know for regular gyno appointments you have to do them when your not on your period.

My PP period only lasted about 4 days. The next one I got after that was soooo friggin heavy.
Now my BC kicked in and its back to being short and light   I am 4 months pp now!

Yes you should call your doctor just to be sure that everything is ok...
However... and forgive me for going off track, but last week I lost my baby @ 20 weeks and I thought about you and the advise I quoted to you, I find myself having to read those exact words for myself and its been hard for me also.
