Exactly as long as they think you plan to have more in the future.... They can't get mad if you change your mind. That's what I did with my first because I had like 3 people wanting to be my daughters god mother and I only wanted one of them and 5 years later I know I picked the right one.

I dont think you really have to "let them down".I would just tell the friend that you choose and let her know that youre entrusting her with your son should something happen and so on.....I then woulnd't even say anything to the other three girls about it. If you have to or feel the need to, I'd let them know exactly why you chose who you did and that its nothing personal against them. Don't feel guilty, its your decision completely.

Well, I figured because they already have a role to the baby...for ex: aunt, cousin, grandma, etc. but I will also think about that suggestion. Thanks

Or whichever friend that you have known longest would be a good idea too. For my oldest daughter I made her fathers closest cousin her godmother and for my youngest I made my bestfriend of 18 years her godmother!

Nice!....I made my BF my daughters godmom and I think I made a mistake...LOL..we're still BF but she's barely there for my daughter, etc. so for this 1, I really want to make a wise choice. Thanks for the advice.
