Pain in hands

I wake up in the morning with pain in my hands and it hurts when I close them. By mid day though they go away. Has anybody else had this problem while they have been pregnant?

yes, mine are like that as well as swollen.

i did and it was pregnancy induced carpal tunnel....it didnt go away until about 4-6 weeks pp. it sucked!

Sounds likea circulation thing. Im assuming its probably pretty normal but Im really not sure.

My hands get so swollen that I have marks left on my fingers from my rings. Sometimes they even cut into my skin.

unfortunately I have the pain in my hands too....I get it when I wake up. having to sleep on your side doesn't help any, it compress the nerves from your shoulder down and constricts the blood flow. If you have any swelling to begin with it just makes it worse. When I wake up I streach out my shoulders and arms to get the blood flowing that usally helps. If you are swelling make sure you are drinking lots of water and limiting salt too!

girl u need to take them off!! u could lose ur circulation and then have to go get the ring cut off. i don't wear rings but i've seen tht happen. i was gonna go to a jewlry party a few weeks ago and i had the ring i wanted to buy all picked out then i thought about and was like well it would be pointless cause i don't know my regular ring size.

I'd suggest taking your rings off until after the baby is born. I had to because every morning waking with swollen hands and rings on didn't go well together.

I do a lot!!! I have carpal tunnel in both too so I dunno. All I know is when I wake up they hurt and I cant close them or open my water bottles. The rest of the day they are just numb. The hand I wear a brace on isnt too bad though so it helps.

I took off my wedding ring a couple months ago....put your engagement ring ring on a chain and wear it around your neck. It is silly to put yourself through that pain. I agree with Makayla and Jaxsons Mom, you don't want it to get to the point where they have to cut them off....Yikes!

i havent been able to wear rings consistently in weeks. I have pain in many joints on and off. I think hand pain is pretty common in preggos. fun, fun, fun.
