vent :(

so right now hearing everyones baby shower stories makes me very upset but happy for them.
heres the thing i would love a baby shower, but my friends are fucking losers who cant hold jobs for longer then 3 days. before i got pregnent they use to borrow my money all the time i didnt care cause i had no one else to spend it on, now there still trying to get money outa me and i have baby to save up for and payments to make. instead of maby buying me just one baby outfit or something small they would rather get drugs great eh!  before i got pregnant i had a shit load of friends and outa the 10 i commonly hung out with, only one bought me a gift the rest have thrown it in my face that im pregnant . they dont even call me to hang out anymore they call my bf to hang out. thing is i dont see why they call him cause he hates them and is also 4 years older and has his own friends, not the point, the only one willing to hold me a baby shower is my mom, which upsets me seeing i spent a shit load of money on these ladys and all i get in return is a phone call sayin can i borrow 40 off you to get an eighth. my friends before i got pregnent where never in to drugs, i dont no what changed.

Something similar happened to me. We used to have people over every night, but things change when you have a baby.

It filters out the true friends.

I have a lot of friends that do drugs, mainly smoke pot. They quickly learned that, no they would not be borrowing any more money and no, we were not the same people we used to be.

Some friends left, some stayed. ya know?

Runnnnn away from friends like that. Ignore them. If they are only calling to ask you for money for drugs do you really want them in your baby's life? you are so young. Dont let loser friends screw your life up.

Sounds to me like they really were not your friends afterall. Also they have no idea what you are going through, and most likely don't care. Forget about them, you have something much more important to focus on.

no i dont want them in my babys life, i just wish they would relize what i did for them and mabey put me infront of drugs. im done with them though seein i hav'nt hung out with any of them since i found out i was pregnant.

I know. I was devistated and cried so much about it but then realized that Luke is 1000000 times more important than any of them ever could be.

A lot of them even blamed me for my hubby not coming around any more, but it's all about priorities.

Pregnancy puts it all in perspective about who your real friends are.

Hell, my sister became my best friend. Seriosuly. But then people came around and things got a little better. But I would never let them put themselves before my son and they knew that.

right now my moms my best friend as lame as that sounds, i dont think we've ever been closer and she tells me the same thing and says fuck them there idouts anyways, i dont disagree, but i just feel lonely when my bf goes to hang with his friends and then he's like well why dont you call and hang out with yours

Well that is something you should talk to him about.

Not saying he cant go out, but he shouldnt be going out as much. I mean he helped you get pregnant, he can help you get through this tough time.

thing is he doesn't go out much, but when he stays home i normaly find things to pick fights about i dont mean to but i tend to, but he really only goes out quadding with his friends 2ce a week for 3 hrs its better then him going to the bars like the rest of the men around here. im just jelious of him lol cause no matter what his friends are their and they dont try and get shit outa him

Understandable. I was jealous of my hubs too.

I hated that he could go have fun and have a beer, or go paintballing or something and all I could do was teeter my wobbly ass down the sidewalk.


It will get better.

But the next time one of your friends calls for money, just be like, Hey can I borrow some money for a change? You may not remember, but I have a baby to get ready for. Lots of stuff to buy. LOL


I actually did that once when my friend asked for money. I was joking with her, but you could use the same thing for your situation.
