Bleeding after sex at 38 weeks 1 day

me and my significant other had sex about two hours ago to try and speed up the labor process even though i am scheduled to be induced in 2 days... while we were having sex, i could feel his "unit" hitting my cervix and it kinda felt like a very painful popping every time it hit... after we finished up, we both fell asleep. i just woke up because i felt something in my pajama pants and so i went to use the bathroom and find out what was going on... there was blood in my pj's and a crapload of it while i was wiping, it was like alot of bloody discharge. is this normal? i was dilated to a 2 before we had sex and 50% effaced (just went to the doctor), i don't know if the bleeding is normal and i have even worse cramping now then i did when i went in to see the doc yesterday.

sounds like your plug and labor has begun.

As long as the bleeding is not heavy and just mucus and blood - you are probably okay but if it causes you to be concerned - call the doctor.

One of the other girls I know at my work is about 36 weeks... she said she has the same thing everytime she has sex... and she was told it was normal as long as its not heavy heavy

the mucous looks like it's "dyed" with blood, there is no clear part of it. This is still normal?
