what do contractions feel like?

My stomach has been aching all day, not cramp aching, but like I have an upset stomach... all day literally. I feel like I have food poison or something...? is that normal?

for me they felt like menstrual cramps, just like 50 times worse. You will feel your stomach tighten each time you have a contraction.

contractions come and go they are not constant...mine were in ,my lower stomach like below my belly button it tightened up like a cramp and then went away then came back and no position i got in laying down sitting walking nothing changed it...you will def know they will get closer and closer together if its labor

For me they felt like I took a really strong laxative and you know that crampy feeling that hurts so bad when you have to go #2. Like that but really strong.

Haha, Well I'm having some right now, wish me luck that they send me into labor!! But they feel like a quick tightening in my stomach. It's more like on the sides and then squenches upward if that makes sense so that my entire stomach feels the pain. Like everyone else says anything between Menstrual and Pooping aches. I don't have the back labor though. I never got it with my first one.
