try changing her formula. I tried Similac and it did the same thing to my youngest. Enfimil and The Orange can of GoodStart dont do that to her but everything else and ANY kind of Similac does.

Try buying the ready to feed formula. Use the same brand but not the powder. I have no clue why that makes a difference but apparently it does. If that doesnt work then talk to her pedi about switching formula.

thanks ladies!! i appreciate it..
I am on WIC, so i recieve my formula from them...would i be able to change it? i think they only offer similac, and i don't think we would be able to afford to buy it, it's soooo expensive!

I never read all the replies before responding.
Tyla was on similac adv and I was able to change her to Isomil Adv without getting anything from the doctor or whatever. All places are different, but I mean all you need is for your doctor to write you something up and the WIC place will give you new coupons. Simple as that!

I would switch the formula, I've heard that Similac advance causes gas. Try Enflamil (sp?) or Goodstart, my daughter liked both of those.

Its hard seeing your angel in pain  That should help. You could try rubbing or patting her back while you hold her to maybe help the gas get out. How long has she had gas?

I bet its the air bubbles. Powder takes a lot of effort to mix up. (well the similac..) enfamil seemed to be of a finer consistency. I bet thats the difference with the gas issues.. with the RTF and the powder

she didn't have any gas when she was first born, it started around 4wks old, and now it seems like its getting worse!!!
but sometimes i think she has gas and she's really hungry...it's hard for me to tell the difference sometimes. cause she'll drink a bottle and start screaming 1hr later, i mean she can't be hungry!! or shouldn't be...

Tyla was the same way. She was totally fine with her formula then out of the blue she was having gas problems so I was giving her mylicon and eventually had to put it into every bottle and soon enough that wasn't good enough either and she got diahrrhea and everything so we switched (same brand different kind) to Isomil and honest to god after like two feedings she was a totally different baby .. I mean she still has gas issues here and there but its not like I have to give her Mylicon in every bottle or anything. just normal baby stuff. Like not even once a week i'd say.

Talk to your ped. but really give it a shot..sometimes its a cow's milk allergy.. and it will go away when she's older..(well thats what my doc said) but there is no way i'm going to switch her formula back just to find out..haha i'll stick with what works! :-)

You can get a form from WIC to have her pedi fill out. They do offer other types with doctors approval. They do not offer Enfimil unless its AR (which I dont think your daughter needs) but you can buy a orange can of GoodStart and try that. If it works then have her switched.

try laying her down on her back and taking her feet/legs and making her move her feet as though she is riding a bicycle. my mom told me to do that with my kids and it works sometimes. my son has horrible gas too and when he is screaming b/c of it that is what i do.
