Quoting Somer ♥'s Aiden: Ok......so my son is almost 7 months old and here recently has started hitting me, (and his whoever is ... [snip!] ... sure this is either just a phase he is going through or if it is something more serious......any input is greatly appreciated!!unless it ilicits a big reaction out of you each time he does it, like gasping loudly or yelling ouch or something, I don't think he is doing it on purpose. However, maybe if you react to it, he may find it amusing? like B, when I am nursing him, he will bite down on my nipple and pull really hard and sometimes he does it so quickly I don't expect it and I squeal loudly and he smiles, like he finds it funny, so I think that is why he keeps doing it.
Quoting *~Jazmine~*: That sounds like an Aiden for you. Always up to something they know they aen't suppose to do ( my son ... [snip!] ... a type of time out every time he does it, just to let him know that you are not going to feed into his bad behavior. Good luck!
Quoting ♥K-Bears*Mama♥: kailey does it lots. sry one handed atm
Quoting Somer ♥'s Aiden: Does she also hit her spoon while you are trying to feed her?? Aiden has also started doing that lately too.......I think I have baby food on my ceiling!!!
Quoting ♥K-Bears*Mama♥: lol yes. she tries taking it from me too
Quoting Somer ♥'s Aiden: Yep....Aiden does that too If Chasten is home I have to have him hold Aiden's arms down so I ... [snip!] ... eat like a big boy then we will try this again in a little while"......He did a little bit better at the next feeding *sigh*
Quoting Star77: I just give Cooper his own spoon. It's a bit messy, but it's how they learn lol.And let him feed himself?? Or just give him one to play with while you feed him with another spoon???
Quoting Somer ♥'s Aiden: Thanks for all the replies ladies.....I feel better now, I am thinking it is hopefully just a phase!! ... [snip!] ... a reaction out of me.....I just gently pull his hands away from wherever he's hitting me and tell him "No, you don't hit mommy"Yeah, that is why I try my best not to react at all when he bites and yanks on my nips but sometimes he catches me off guard and well, he gets the reaction he was looking for and smiles... the little booger head.
