It was just in the news recently that officials are actually gonnabe morerelaxed with responsible marijuana users with under 100 grams on them, thats almost a 1/4 pound of person use....

My grandparents (raised parents) have been smoking since the 60's.

And thats fine, but like my mom always sad..."if u smoke stupid, dont get made when you get charged"...and become a "criminal". I could smoke outside where I grew up, like everyone else....one day I got busted and I promise you I will never do that again. Now in the privacy of my own home, thats my choice and I feel it should be my legal choice as well. Also I think when u choose to do it public...u effect the people around you, which is not responsible.

If the laws were enforced to the same degree in canada that they are in the states I;m sure less people would do it. I mean I've never walked down the street with a drink in broad daylight but i know I've been out in public at night with opem alcohol or been at the beach, park etc with alcohol which techincally is against the law unless you have a permit. Most cops here tend to not care much for those things from what ive seen unless your making a scene

Well if its against the law, technically they have to brand you. I mean, they cant say, "You had meth so you're really bad but you only had pot so you're only a little bad." If they deem it illegal (and I'm not saying I agree with it) then its illegal. Period.

Disclaimer: I dont necessarily think it should be illegal. I'm just saying that if that is how the law reads, then that is how it should be enacted. If they want to give lesser punishments then to avoid being hypocrites, they need to change the laws.

Once a group of us were at the beach drinking and smoking pot and we had a fire going, a cop told us to put out the fire but he didn't care that we were drinking or smoking because we were being quiet and responsible about it. He probably didn't want to deal with the paperwork for such a large group, lol.

Ive been to Hot Box cafe.. another one here in Toronto which allows you to smoke freely

lol ya probably wanted to go sit around somewhere. One rave I was at the cops came and sat there watching people for like 20 mins and then drove off.. idk why they even came to begin with since there were permits... well i assume so anyway

When I lived in Anchorage, before it was partially legalized again, if a cop caught you with weed they would just take your pipe and your bag and send you on your way. Bastards smoked a lot of my allowance.
