coxsackie

it turns out my son has coxsackie his temps have been 101to 102 ive been going between motrin and tylenol to keep him comfortable he is very miserable and uncomfortable hes barley taking his formula only pedialyte does anyone have suggestions how to keep him happy?

Do you warm his formula?

Which coxsackie is it?  Hand foot and mouth or what?  If it is hand foot and mouth, maybe giving formula chilled might help the sores in his mouth.  That's all I can suggest because it isn't a comfortable illness

its only in his mouth right now and the doctor said to try and ggive it to him cold so thats what ive been doing if it help or not who know's..thanks

sorry I didn't have any more than what you'd been told.  I worked in child care and that was all the parents could do about it.  

Could you try mixing the formula with some juice or pedialyte? Maybe that would encourage him to drink more?
