I'm worried

about my son. He's breaking out all over his face, He's congested, stuffy nose..
He hasn't had anything out of the norm. Actually, I haven't even given him baby food recently. He's 6 and 1/2 months.
I don't know what's up. His ped. is out of the country until next week.
Any ideas on what could be wrong with him?

The pediatrician will probably tell you to keep his nose suctioned out and use saline in his nose and to use a humidifier..That's always what they told me with my two.. As for the breaking out sometimes baby's get acne but i couldn't be sure unless i saw it.. Good luck mama! Watch for a fever also..

there is always a covering ped while the original doc is out...
and about the breaking out maybe it could be something he weas rhe is allergic too or the detergent...

It could be a number of things. I would watch for a fever and make sure that he is eating, pooping, and peeing normally. If is gets worse or he seems bothered by his symptoms take him to the ER. Good Luck

Thanks. Actually, his ped DOESN'T have a covering. I've called the office numorus times about things to bring him in. I'm finding a new ped if I can find one that takes his insurance.

It's been gettin worse the last few days.
I haven't noticed a fever.
I've been keeping his nose clean.
We don't have a humidifier.. I saw one that I sould get though.
Oh also I for got to mention... He has a TERRIBLE cough.
He'll cough for like 2-3 mins at a time.

So, we think the breaking out was a reaction to the fabric of a new shirt I bought at DEBs on saturday. But besides that he just has a normal cold. If his break out hasn't started to go away by wendsday afternoon we're taking him to the doctor.
