Did you give your preemie a paci? also what kind?

I was wondering how many moms gave their preemie a paci? my son was 5 wk early he's done fine w everything but he is starting to suck/chew his fingers so much they are peeling..... The only paci's we have or have seen are way to big & will cover his nose if he uses them. I really didnt want him to use one my 1st son didnt (well did for the first day in the hospital then wouldnt take it again nor did he ever suck his fingers)
BUt I think Ive gotta give him somehting his little fingers are peeling BAD!

there is one called somethink like the neo by evenflow i think it is really tiny, and the other one is that one that is a green i can't remember what it is called. But that is really all i can thik of. And i have found them both at babies r us.

Mine were not premiees but they were the size of them and i had a problem finding ones to fit their faces.

My son was 7 weeks early and he used the smoothie paci. The NICU just cut the part that goes infront of his nose. Then we just went with the nuks I think.

My daughter wasnt a preemie but she was very small, she use the clear gerber ones

Thanx i'll start searchin all the pharmacys the closest babys r us is an hr 15 min away mayb i'll find 1 otherwise i'll order off line now that i kno who makes them thanx again!!

They sell preemie ones in the stores, I've seen them at Target.

and for the couple months he took it the Paci was my best friend.

Both of me preemies would only take the round laytex gerber pacifiers. Because they are round, the shield kind of flares out, so it doesn't disrupt breathing. My son also took a nuk for a little bit, which didn't block his nose either. They were 10 and 12 weeks early.

I know how that is! Except our nearest Wal-Mart is a little less than 30 minutes away..

Our walmart carries the preemie ones.

Mam also sells some that are nano ones they are smaller at the to fit around the nose.
