This is gross but need some info lol

posted 11th Aug
Since I've been pregnant I've had more discharge which I read was normal and all; but the smell is disgusting. I mean I don't have any infections or anything going on down there and I shower everyday so I'm not sure why it smells so gross lol.

Any ladies had this happen to them? How did you make the smell go away or be less noticable. I'm just so embarrassed about it!

Alright I try the wipes and I was thinking maybe some panty liners would help.

Yeah I know everyone has a smell just I guess I never noticed mine before and now everytime I go to use the restroom I'm just so grossed out lol

Pantiliners might actually trap the smell more...similar to pads trapping period smells.

There's vag sprays...kinda like crotch deodorant!

next time you go to the doctor have them check for bacterial vaginosis. They cannot always see it under the slide and actually have to send it out to the lab to have it tested. I am in the nursing profession and that is just one of those things woman get like a yeast infection and it causes an odor.

I'm glad you posted this, because I thought about it yesterday because I've kinda been noticing this too.I think it's due to extra discharge, peeing 50,000 times a day, and it being summer.... it's only been 105 degrees here in TX. The cooch gets hot sometimes!!!!! Maybe I'll try the vag wipes.

say away from all perfumed products, this includes sprays and wipes. Also try to limit your use of panty liners( I know its hard when you have so much discharge, I'm in the same boat)
But all those products can actually make it worse.
I know this is too much info as well. But I have had a very nasty smell with all my pregnancies. I have been check 2 -3 times during each one and there is never anything wrong. My doctor said that some women naturally produce a foul odor when pregnant. Although he did not give me a reason for it. And within 3 weeks of delivering my children, my vaginal smell disapeared and returned to its normal scent.

i thought i had an infection through out my who le pregnancy, espeacially when you have people telling you if there is any sort of smelll you have an infection. Your hormones are going bonkers in there, and THAT is the product of it...well that and your baby  But seriously, I could have a bath and 1 hour later I would gag at the smell. I was checked at least 5 times and NOTHING. Just wait it out though, because the day after I had my baby I couldnt smell it anymore.

Thank goodness. I really didn't think I had an type of infection because it doesn't itch or anything like that so I guess you ladies are right it's just another thing that comes with pregnancy! lol

I go to the doctors on Monday so I'll still ask about it and see if they have any other tricks lol

I know! I just got done showering and cleaning down there a bit and it still smells! lol

Yeah it's been super hot down here as well so I'm sure that doesn't help. I'm in SC and we've had heat advisories of like 110 lately so that plus being at work gah I want to die sometimes lol

Use the dove soap. I had that problem and a friend of mine suggested the soap. It works really good.

Also dont use any form of douching products. They say that it just pushes it up farther when you think your cleaning youself out. I've never tried this but its just a pointer.

mmmm, I love Dove soap, but soap burns my coochie! I always get the summer's eve feminine wash.
