I would freak. I'm really nervous about Kaden's 12 month shots and might put them off. He ran a really high temp with the last set and the time before that.

I think it's reasonable that you're nervous. My pediatrician who was well-informed on vaccine risks/side effects, told me that a baby who has a reaction is likely to have another, worse reaction. The ingredients can be cumulative and build in the system. I would be especially weary of the MMR.

Not to imply that vaccines can't cause deadly, or near deadly reactions, as my sister hearly died from hers when she was little... But, my husband (Marine)and I were watching this video and we're a bit puzzled by some things this kid said in his statement, and also, there is no such thing as a Marine Hosptial. 29 Palms is a Naval Hospital, as are all hospitals on USMC bases. No matter WHAT happened to this kid, or what inection he recieved I truly feel awful for him.

I was on my local news once, talking about my daughter's vaccine reaction. It happened when she was 4 months old, but the reporter said in the report that she had seizures at 2 years old.

Reporters tend to get the facts mixed up sometimes.

And there are only "yellow footprints" in 2 bases. MCRD San Diego and MCRD Parris Island. Only Recruit Training Facilities. IF he had ben permanent personnel on one of these bases, they still would not have lined them up on the yellow footprints. As my hubby says, you only stand on those once. Also... If he wasn't stationed at 29 Palms, why would his mother call the 29 Palms Naval Hospital for information? And I KNOW there are no yellow footprints @ 29 Palms. I was there 3 months with my hubby and he was there 9 months. I don't think these reporters did a very good job of finding facts. I hate it when the media doesn't investigate stuff thoroughly. It's a pet peeve.

Oh yeah... I know they do. It frustrates me to no end though. I mean, the public relies on these people for information and when they misinform people, they do it on a MASSIVE basis.

MMR, Chicken pox, Hep A, Hep B, Hib, pnemonia, polio, and flu. That's on the recommended schedule for 12 months. http://www.cispimmunize.org/

*edit: he may not need polio, hep b, and flu if he's already had these at his 6 month check-up.

You can choose to follow a selective/delayed schedule starting at 12 months since he's experienced fevers...let me know if you want info on some options for delayed schedule.
