quiet baby

Nathan pretty much NEVER lays in his crib/packnplay for more than 5 minutes if he's awake. Usually as soon as I see he's awake I'll go and pick him up. I know this is a horrible habit to start but I feel bad having him lay there. Like right now, he just woke up and is playing with his feet lol. I feel like he's only going to be this age once so why not hold him as long as he'll let me?

Do you ladies leave your little one to occupy themselves as long as they are content?

you should give him some alone time so that they learn to preoccupy themselves..zoe is fantastic..she gets up at about 8 am and will play till i go and get her,so i have time to do anything, have a shower ,clean the house...its a good habit to get them into.

I used to do that with gabe and it got to the point of where i couldnt set him down to go pee. So now he has TONS of toys to play with and he usually wakes up about an hour before i do and he just plays and when he's ready to eat he screams at me.

You should give him some alone time so that he can learn to preoccupy/play by himself.

everything I've heard/read says that there is nothing wrong with holding and giving too much love to the baby....you can't OVER HOLD your baby....if they visibly want to be set down, then do so.....but, it isn't bad!
