It's made for babies - its not in chunks so they won't choke for one .
It's got vitamins and minerals added .
It's broken down so its easier to digest.

I dont know how many ingredients are the same... but the stuff for baby is in flakes that you mix up so it's very fine and easy for a new baby to eat.

Also baby oatmeal is already cooked so you just have to add water where as rolled oats need to be cooked for about 10mins+.

My son's ped said there really wasn't much difference in them. He said we could give Caleb regular oatmeal just to make it thinner with more water.

If your baby is breastfed you don't need to worry about the added vitamins. It was originally created to add extra stuff for formula fed babies. IF your baby can sit up you can feed him or her regular oatmeal. If you're worried about the larger pieces you can pulse it a few times in your blender or whatever to make the pieces smaller and use water, breastmilk, formula, or juice to bring it to a thickness you and your little one are comfortable with.

Regular oatmeal is much more thick than baby oatmeal. You are able to feed your baby regular oatmeal (at a certain age per your pedi) but you'd probably have to make it much more watery. Iwould just stick to baby oatmeal (i think) it has more vitamins in it.? I maybe wrong. lol
