feeling guilty about leaving Riley

I just started taking horseback riding lessons again for the first time in 2 yrs. My new instructor is really exciting( I am too lol) b/c she said the it looked like i hadn't even been off a horse and wants to take me to a jumping/ dressage schooling show in mid oct. I love taking lessons and riding etc. but I have to leave Riley for 2 hrs on Sat. morning to do this. I'm going to alternate between his grandmothers since they both LOVE to watch him lol. I felt so guilty after yesterday(my first lesson) I didn't leave Riley once to go the bathroom or anything! I would love to take 2 lessons a week, which be be a total of 4 hrs(including the drives there and back), but I don't want to miss anything with Riley. He's getting ready to crawl and might do so at anytime, and I just feel like I'm abandoning him whenever I leave him.  

You deserve to do something for yourself! Especially something that makes you feel good. This might not come out right, but the time away from you is good for him. It gets him around different people and socializes him, while giving you and him a break from the normal routine. Don't feel guilty. Have fun.

I think its great for the both of you to have time apart...It will give him a lot of independance for when he is ready to start school... good job on the horse riding...I am scared of horses LOL>...

but would two times a week be too much? I know neither of his grandmothers would mind, but I just wonder if it will make him think I don't want to be with him or something.

And thank you   i've been riding since I was around 4 but, obviously, took time away when I got pregnant and just now started back.

NO!! That doesn't sound like too much to me. It's fine. Don't worry over it. Just enjoy yourself.

If his grandparents are like most grandparents, he won't have the oppertunity to crawl with them..lol Most grandparents don't put them down long enough to crawl.

Yes, he gets carried around most of the time he's with his grandparents lol, but my mil will but him down and play with him in the floor SOMETIMES lol
