I love the PC brand. I am 100% an advocate for "generic" formulas. If you do a side by side comparison between it and the other brands, it has all of the same nutritional value, just they don't inflate the price to cover advertising and samples. For a 25.75 oz can I pay $14; a comparable can of Enfamil or Similac is $26.

that is awesome. my husband thinks we can get wic but I don't know if we can qualify, he is in the military at an e3 so I really have no idea so I am trying to plan on how much I am going to be spending on formula

Sounds right. Formula fed babies are considered constipated after 3 days of no poop. Difficulty going could be a sign of an intolerance fora specific formula or excess gas.

wic only allows carnation good start since about 2years ago...you can get a different brand as long as its medaically necessary..cuz wic has a contract with good start...but if you have amedical note youll be fine..

My son used to get constipated because we travelled a lot, and the difference in waters really hurt him. But even at two weeks, the pedi said it was OK to give him prune juice for it, an ounce of prune juice, with two ounces of water fixed him up good.

But, we used Similac, and he didn't have any problems with it. We found Enfamil made him spit up a lot, and we didn't even try Good Start, though I've heard good things about it.

Between those two I think Enfamil.

Piper gets goodstart at daycare (I don't make enough milk to pump so she gets BM at home) On the occasion daddy has had to feed her we've used Enfamil. I don't mind either and she has never had any constipation problems. I will tell you that good start gives her really really nasty poop that smells something awful! Her BM poops rarely smell that bad LOL (another reason babies should be breast fed...for mama's sake!!)

.........serious? you're worrying too much. Darwin poops once every other day.

The best formula I got was in Tokyo when I ran out of my Enfamil. I was terrified to switch things on her, and the can was in Japanese. I had a bilingual local help me out, and Alina did REALLY well with that brand. I'm trying to find it at a Japanese market here.
