Back pains

posted 9th Aug
I read the other topics already and nothing quite helped. I'm 19 weeks and 3 days pregnant and I've gained only 4 pounds I don't even have a stomach besides the flab I began with...anyway every night when I go to bed I feel fine and sleep perfect i mean amazing sleep lol And then I wake up and the getting up part is hard. I have to lay there for a while and I sleep on my left side too like it says but I still have this like pinching paralizing pain in my lower back, I guess my spine. And when I finally get up I'm walking really funny. I don't know what to do. The only thing that helps is not lying down at all. I can sit down but leaning back on something still leads to the paralizing feeling I'm walking like Juno ran when she had her huge stomach lol I hope you understand what I mean. I dont know if the reason i'm hardly showing is because maybe the baby is back that far and sitting on my back basically but it would really help for some insight.

Well I don't know if this is the same thing, but I didn't show until I was close to seven months pregnant, and I had really really bad back pain. The doctor did say that every carries differently and I just carried further back, so the baby was laying more on my back and pelvis nerves than hanging out front. I also didn't gain a lot of weight until the last month of my pregnancy.

My first I didn’t show til 7 months and didn’t gain weight until 8 months. Im big withthis one . . rightbehind you… but as far as thepain it sounds like you are getting a pinched nerve, the baby may be laying on a nerve when you lay down, happened with my first in the 4th month and went away by the 6th.

That's probably what it is the baby is on some sorta nerve or something and I only feel it when I've been lying down for 8 hours ugh it sucks I just wanna take a nap but I don't wanna have to pay the consequences LOL

yea it could be maybe if you lay on your back{{ which your not supposed to do}} and the baby is pressing on a nerve ..forgot what its called.. but that happends to me when i stand up for more than 4 hours. after that i Have to lay down on my side to get the pressure off. but if you sleep on your side then i have no idea?? just call your doc and assk.. im sure the nurses can tell you something to do to make it better

Probably sciactic nerve pain, which can cause pain if you lay on your right side. You can sometimes feel it all the way down to your foot. It's pretty painful.

I'm not worried about the lack of weight gain just mentioning it because in other forums people had mentioned the belt thing for back support to hold up stomach but that wouldn't help me because I have lack there of lol
