New update!

Shelby is doing amazing, she has been off oxygen for a few days now with no problems. Yesterday she ripped out her NG tube, she was taking the full amount without problems. She has had the amount increased 3 times since, and still taking it all! So no NG tube. Today they took out the IV. So right now she is only on the heart monitors, and pulse ox monitor. She is getting soooo big she is up to 6lbs 7oz. The DR came in and said if she has no more blood in her stool, eating on her own, and the GI gives the ok on monday, she may be home tuesday or wednesday! I am thrilled!!!!!!!She will be staying on Elecare, which is a prescription formula, due to her severe allergies (but if she's home that is fine with me!!!!!)!!!!

Thanks ladies, we have some tests today, like an echo, x-ray of her abdomen, and they are testing her stool just to make sure there is no blood. But if all goes well she could be home today or tomorrow. I am so excited I can barely stand it. She has a GI consult this morning, so fingers crossed I may have my beautiful baby girl home with me in the next few days. By the way she is up to 6lbs 14oz. She is huge. I am also taking some of her preemie outfits she has outgrown to the NICU! I would donate them to Melissa's baskets of hope but they are all opened and washed already!
