question about PT with Blue lines

I have a friend that took 2 ept test and they are the ones with blue lines, I have heard ppl on here saying that PT with blue lines can be wrong is that true?? Hers turned up positive so I was just wondering if she should take a test that is a read out or ones with pink lines??

Digital ones work best. I've never had any luck with the blue dye ones. mine always had a very thin blue line when they were negative.

I would say as long as it wasn't 10 minutes, that they are probably BFP.

I would say its prob correct but tell her to retest just to be sure.

i have always been told that it is (with the exception of a few medications) to geta false positive result. Basically, if it says you are pregnant...you are. The test has to detect the pregnancy hormone to say positive. If you are anything like my husband though, just retest!   Also, planned parenthood can do a test for you for only $22 so that you can be absolutely positive!

The problem with blue +/- ones is that a negative test often starts to develop a second line after the 10 minutes as expired, so as long as she got the positive within the time limit she's fine.

thanks for all the responses, I will have to ask more questions about when she first saw her positive its kinda a bad situation....she is my BIL girlfriend who moved in with his parents...so this is going to be a tough road if she is prego...

Blue dye test worked for me, when they showed positive, they really were!
