Second time mommies or more.... Do you find this to be true.

I was NEVER nervous or scared when thinking about or approaching labor with my first. I find that I am starting to get more nervous with this one though - I guess I just worry about something going wrong more than I do the pain. Everyone says its normal with the second baby just because you know more of whats to come and what can happen... I guess I like not knowing!
Anyone else the same way?

I was actually more calm about it the second time around and this time I'm like "eh..."
I can totally see how someone would be nervous the second time around.

i was more curious than anything. i wanted to see how fast my labor would've went the second time since the first time was extremely short. i got induced though so i never got to see

OH yeah, people are like " this is your third time!" Well im just scared something will happen to me or the baby. I can't help it. I wasn't like this with the other two. Im glad I am not alone. I hope you feel better soon

I guess I was a little more nervous. I just noticed more things the 2nd time around...like more braxton hicks (and earlier), more pressure and more bladder control problems. Everytime I had braxton hicks, I started timing them. With my 1st, I barely noticed them. My 1st was also a premie, so maybe that is why I was a little more nervous the 2nd time. Neither time was I worried about pain. I knew it would hurt and there were drugs if I needed them (and I did). I also knew it was temporary and the outcome is amazing. Good luck!

I'm on my second one...I'm more scared about what is going to happen AFTER labor, not that actually labor part. My son will be 18 months old when our next one is born. I just worry about having to take care ofa newborn and him at the same time. I'm already exhausted with just the one. I can't imagine what it will be like having to get up 2-3 times a night and still having to be up in the morning. Sigh...

I don't find that I am afraid of the pain at all. That part I know I can handle - I am going drug free again. I guess I just worry about something going wrong - don't know why. I am just going to have faith in God that he will keep us both safe...

** Note to first time mommy's the pain isn't bad - honestly its not as bad as some people make it out to be. If anything just get drugs, thats what they are there for. Don't sweat it..

I have to have another c-section, and I'm terrified. They told me it would be easier bc i would know what to expect...I think it's worse bc I do know what to expect. The only thing I'm nervous about is the needles...and that I'll freak like I did with my first. Usually, I'm more terrified that something is going to happen to this baby...or even my son right now (that something may happen to him if he's out of my sight). I know I'm being crazy, and my anxiety levels have hit an all time high...pregnancy hormones? I have no idea, I was no where near as fearful during my first pregnancy.

I have gotten calmer with each pregnancy. I am on number 6 but have two kids and my doctors believe I am addicted to labor pain!!

I was nervous...my 1st labor was horrible! But I think I was more nervous with my 2nd childbecause I knew I had togo home and take care of 2 other kids (a 2 year old and my stepson who was 5). This time I'm not nervous about the labor, but more worried about coping with 4 kids!

I was more nervous the second time around but for different reasons. Like I was afraid I wouldn't get to the hospital in time and I know what the pain was going to be like. The first time around I was nervous cause I didn't know what to expect but I feel that my labor with my first was a lot calmer then with my second since my second went really fast.
