Finally, August 24th...baby shower

My MIL is planning a babyshower for my SIL and I. So Jimmy's immediate family (bros & sisters) will be there (all 6 of them plus their spouses n my 3 nephews). I know 5 friends who said they would come, plus my lil sister.
I want to know if I should make a list of things that I need? My friend Cyntia asked me for one. She knows that I have bought and received big ticket items, and a few clothes and shoes. Do you think it's ok to send out a list of things I need?
So far we have:
1.Crib w/ changing table
2.Bassinet
3.Pack n Play (play yard thingie)
4.Stroller/Carrier system w/ car seat attachment
5.14 receiving blankets
6.7 summer dresses 0-3 mos
7.10 sleepers 0-3 mos. & 1 sleeper 9mos.
8.15 onesies 0-3 mos. & 4 onesies 6-9 mos.
9. 1 pack newborn diapers
10. 1 large diaper bag & 1 small diaper bag
11. bouncer seat
12. 1 value size box of wipes
13. 2 fleece blankets
14. Healthcare & Grooming kit
15. socks, shoes, hats and mittens
16. 15 bibs
17.1tummy time mat
18. 3 bottles - 1 @ 2oz, 2 @ 8 oz (i think?)
19. Pacifier and clip
20. bows and ribbons for hair
21.Swing
22. room decor
23. baby book
24. growth chart
I think that's all...

What are your suggestions for the things that I still need?
I know what I want, but I can hold out til after the shower. I'd just like practical things that I would use after my daughter's arrival. Do you think I have enough?

wow it sounds like you ahve most things covered. more diapers and wipes will always help, general bath stuff always helps. ooo i didnt see a bathtub on there. maybe some toys, books, stuffies. you'll always get clothes-of all sizes....and thats all i can think of right now

oh ya, if your nursing maybe a boppy pillow or a breastpump
bottles, you'll need lotsif you decide to formula feed and a few if you pump

looks lik you already got alot....
you may need more onies and sleepers
diapers....a baby tub......

I was gonna say that as well.. Also I got things at my shower that I didn't even think to mention that im sure glad I have now.....I can't think of them off of the top of my head though...sorry..this dang pregnant brain

o yea and u need more bottles....

Normally you just do a registry (at Target, Wal-Mart, Baby Depot, Babies R Us Too name a few) and send them a little card saying that you registered for things there that you want. You just go to the store and scan what you want, its great because it is like shopping without having to pay for anything. You can always give them a list of general stuff but you might not get exactly what you want.

i would not get a lot of diapers or wipes before the baby is here. my son had a reaction to his first diapers and i had a ton that i could no longer use. maybe ask for gift cards to target, wal mart etc... so that you can stock up on wipes and diapers once you know what will work for her.

Great suggestions on the tub diapers wipes and gift cards. Bottles too. I don't know how many I will need if I am breast feeding, however not exclusivley. I plan on expressing milk and letting my husband be able to feed her in case i need sleep.

In my opinion looks like you have all the basics covered plus more. That's good though. You can never have enough diapers and wipes. That's the thing that's gonna cost you, also bottles, etc.

I have registered at babiesrus.com and babydepot.com (burlingtoncoatfactory.com). I really want my crib bedding and if that's all I get from anyone I would be happy with that. I like to do things for myself so it was hard to think of anything that I might need. I just don't like to think someone will buy it then not get it, y'know. Then i'll get disappointed. I know she'll need more clothes, diapers, wipes, bottles, paci's, bath stuff (we have towels for her)...I plan on getting her a high chair and walker type thing for christmas, and probably some more clothes. I think that would be good.
