How long were you in the hospital?

I'm curious about how long other mommies stayed in the hospital after baby was born & what kind of birth you had (c-section, natural, induction)?

Our hospital requires you to stay a minimum of 12 hours after baby is born for an uncomplicated birth. If any complications arise, obviously they'll require we stay longer. I'm hoping I will be able to go home after only 12 hours.

tore a bit, required 2 stiches
i satyed 2 days afterward

With my 1st i was in for 2 days and labour went smoothly no cuts stitches.With my 2nd i was in for 1 day same an easy labour and with my 3rd i was there 6 hrs befor coming home

I stayed two days.

3days I had a c-section. I was ment to stay longer but I talked them into letting me out because I was so depressed being there

I was induced with no complications...3 days total including my labor

I checked in at 2am on Friday, May 30th. I was discharged around 2pm on Sunday, June 1st.

I would NEVER want to go home after 12 hours.... I could barely get off the bed, and I was bleeding so so so much. It took me a long ass time to walk to the car - even after 2 days!

vaginal birth

2 days because i had strep b so they had to keep doing blood work to make sure sophia and i were both healthy enough to leave

Here, with an uncomplicated vaginal birth, they have to keep you for a minimum of 24 hours.

Not sure if that's the law, a thing with insurance, or just hospital policy.

My first 3 were natural deliveries (vaginal, no epi) and I stayed 24 hrs. My last was also natural (induced, no epi) and I stayed 48 hrs. I think it depends on whether you have other kids at home.

I had her the 31st @ 12:51am and i went home the next morning
But they woulda let me go home earlyer but i had to get 3 layers of Stitches
