When he uses thirsties, he usually always leaks. The prefolds are chinese bleached, I think. He's less likely to leak if he wears one that I made they are the same concept as thirsties, the other night, he slept 9 hours in this one...
without a leak. Sometimes, especially in the thirsties covers, I'll put a microfiber towel in on top of the prefold, and that will take care of it sometimes, too, but most times, when he wakes, he's wet from the waist down.
In the daytime, I change him every couple of hours and he's usually good about not leaking.

Do you only put one prefold in there? Because during the day...you change him every few hours. You wouldn't expect him to go longer in that same dipe over night? I'd put in 1 or 2 of those towels every night.

you can, however I find that extended use of it can cause a "crunchiness"

so the ones you make are they just made out of printed PUL?

I am so eager to start cd, that I used one of Siena's gerber prefold burp cloths. Did an angel wing fold and put on her blueberry cover. I showed her in the mirror for a few minutes and took it off lol.

I e-mailed momsmilk back, so hopefully this time I get a reply.

yeah, thats when the microfiber towels come in handy. I just feel bad when his butt is elevated higher than his head, lol, cause he has so much fluff on him. But he's still cute. I do have to order some new pf's though, because he's growing out of the green seamed ones that he has.

Does anyone have suggestions for their favorite AIO material? I'm thinking of trying to make a couple of those, but don't know which material to use for each layer to get a good working one put together.

im in the process of making mine, have everything cut out and ready to go, just borrowed my sewing machine out so im going nuts i need it back lol

we're at the end of our first CD day. we went through 3 prefolds, 2 covers, 2 pockets, 1 deluxe pocket and 1 AIO. we're trying out everything that came in the trial package i got from momsmilk. i think the thirsties cover and fuzzi bunz pocket were the easiest for me. the fuzzi bunz and BG held an amazing amount of pee (so i think anyway). 
i think im going to end up getting a couple dozen prefolds, some small hemp doublers, a few thirsties covers and a couple of pockets. i'll get into covers w/snaps when im not such a knob at putting on dipes.
