I assume so, I have a top loader so its diff for me. I just do this:
Fill machine as usual with soap, no dipes in. Heat up water in microwave (Works best when it is boiling for me) add oxy clean to water (it bubbles A LOT) then add the oxy to the water in the washer. Add dipes.
