I agree. I can just see allowing something like this getting out of hand. It should not be available to the general public.

That kind of reminds me of the movie Godsend

I think its absolutely stupid.. for a lack of a better way to put it. lol I'm one that really believes that when things are meant to be.. thats the only way that they should happen, not because you spend thousands of dollars to play God.

Exactly. Dogs are born, they are our compainions for many years, and then they die. The end. Get a new dog.
Dogs are not born, live, die and born again in multiples of five lol. It's wrong on so many levels. Besides, there are plenty of other dogs that need homes. Take your pick. You know?
When you allow something like this. What is to stop it from going farther?

Absolutly hated that movie lol. I thought it was THE DUMBEST movie I have ever had to suffer through.

I don't believe in nonsense such as 'God', but I still feel this is wrong. In a way, you are avoiding the one constant factor in life: And that is death. Along with death comes greiving. I do not think having a genetic replica of a former pet will make the new pet an equal replacement. There is not gurantee that the cat/dog will act the same as the original.

As much as I loved (obsessed more like it) with my cat, I know that it is okay and very normal for me to be distraught when she passes. This is something I actually have high anxiety over.  

I just think cloning pets for the sake of trying to preserve something that is false is silly. It's a genetic clone, not a personality clone. Kind of like Pet Semetary...and that little kid was fucking creepy when he came back. *shudders*

As cute as those puppy clones are, this is just so very, very wrong. Cloning goes against mother nature and I don't think that cloning is right. What about all the other dogs that need homes? Why couldn't she have just chosen one of them, rather than clone her old dog 5 times?

I agree... God or no God, death is a part of life.
You can't avoid it and you shouldn't try to replace it.
