Waiting for my period.....

I miscarried 34 days ago and I am waiting to get my period. I thought it would come on time (28 days later) because I was always really regular, but that is not the case. I am really edgy and am having a hard time sleeping. Can any one tell me if they felt a lot of hormones before their 1st period and how long it took for it to come back? I know that everyone is different but it would help to hear what it was like for others.

It can take longer for your period to come back, and do not expect to be on the same schedule as before.

I had a D&C in may and my period didn't come back til July. *shrugs* It just takes a little time.

My period came beack 5 weeks and 1 day after my m/c I too had regular periods before but it takes 4-6 weeks normally to start back. I felt more pregnant after my m/c than I did when I was pregnant. I m/c at 8 weeks. I think it also depends sometimes how far along you were before you m/c as to how long it takes to get your next period but not positive on that.

i had a D&C so i dont know if its the same but i got my period 3weeks and 6days later... i still had alot of the preggo feelings.

I had a miscarriage Feb. 28th (the day I normally always have my period anyway.) I had the bleeding for 14 days afterward! (heavy to light) I again got my period on March 28th (back on schedule) and got pregnant however they wanted me to go back for 4 weeks after my blood for HCG levels so they went back to normal. Your levels are probably still really high.

I had a miscarriage in February. I got my period before four weeks went by. I also felt many pregnancy like symptoms and thought I might be again. My period used to be very regular, every 28 days. It went crazy. I would spot for 5-6 days sometimes before starting (I thought maybe it was implantation bleeding), but it wasn't. I just found out we were pregnant again in the beginning of July. Started spotting early (turned out to really be implantation bleeding this time). I think every persons body is different. I was getting concerned but my doctor's said it could take months to get back to normal. I was only 6 and a half weeks when I miscarried. I hope yours gets back to normal soon. It can be very frustrating, and make waiting to test difficult.

I misscarried my baby on May 30th. The first D&C was done that day. Two weeks later I went for my follow-up and we realized the D&C was imcomplete. The second surgery was performed on June 16th. My HCG was down to 0 on July 1st. I still didn't have  a period. I ovulated on July 28th and I am waiting for my AF anyday now. If she shows this time I am 8 weeks past 2nd D&C. I am dying to start trying again and I am praying that she will show up. If she doesn't, I will have to wait another month. Please God!!!!!!

Thank you all for responding, it really helped to hear what everyone had to say. I actually got my period today! My cramps are terrible, but I don't care....so happy to be back on track. Hopefully we will have a chance to get pregnant again soon.

I have the worst cramps ever today- I look like I were 4 months pregnant.
So far no other sign of AF though! I pray she will show up - I need her!
