My doctor confused me.

I went to my 26 week checkup today and everything was fine except he noticed I had a trace amount of protein in my urine. He didn't really explain to me what it meant and just said he wasn't worried about it. He kind of blew me off. What exactly does the presence of protein mean?

If it continues to go up it is a sign of pre-eclampsia. But it may be just fine. It could not be there at your next visit. Sometimes if you get sick or something it can make you spill a little protein in your urine.

they check ur pee for protien for pre eclampsia... but if its a trace and he wasnt makin a deal bout it... its prolly nothing... b/c your blood pressure was fine and u prolly werent swollen
