Single mommy's who cut your cord?

i was just wondering who cut the baby's umbilical cord? i'm not sure if im going to have my mom do it my best friend do it or have my daddy come in to do it. i know my dad wants to do it buuuuut im not sure i want him 'down there' if yanno what i mean so i was just wondering for all you other single mommys out there who did u have cut the cord?

i had my mother cut the cord .

The doctor, LOL. The doctor cut the cord with my second too, mostly because I had a c-section and my husband didn't want to see my guts.

I'm not even single but my bf didnt want to do it because he couldn't get himself to so my mom wanred to.

My mother cut Hazel's,I'm kicking myself now though because I wish I let my dada come in with me for my c-sec we are really close,but I was so dossed up I didnt care. 

My doctor cut the cord... as far as your dad cutting it, maybe he can stand on the side of you and do it so he can't see anything else...

not to be gross but i'm sure your dad doesn't care about your privates . . he probably changed ur diapers so he's seen them anyways & i am pretty sure he would be pretty focused on cutting the cord either way .

I cut it with my sister's first and it was awesome. I wanted to be there for the second, but I got sick, so the doc cut it. (Her BD is a complete wuss, as is my mother. =D)

I'm having my mom do it. I'm not with the father anymore either, and though he insists that he wants to be at the hospital when the baby is born, there is no way I'm letting him in the room until my legs are closed and covered and the baby is cleaned up.

so i just found out that my daddy is very depressed so i think im gonna let him do it =] maybe it will make him feel better cause he's super excited...

I wasn't single, but DH didn't get to because she had merconium. Anyway as far as daddy being in there~ after Kate was born he got to the hospital just as the y were delivering the placenta~ so all my goodies were showing for all to see~ I don't think it will phase him one bit~ he probably won't even notice lol
