August mommies: baby weight at 37 weeks?

my baby weighs 6lbs. Do you think it's normal? Last week she was only 5.1 and the other week was 4.13. I'm so petite I'm worried about how to get this baby out if I reach the 40th week or more.

My last growth ultrasound was 2 weeks ago and both of mine were 5 1/2 lbs. You'll be fine!

i had my baby at 36 weeks and she weighed 6 lb due date was august 18th and had her july 21st

Sweetie, you are almost there but if you are really worried about your delivery, talk to your doctor and see what his/her thoughts are. You would be surprised - almost of tiny skinny woman deliver big babies. Good luck and stop worrying.

I had my 36 week ultra sound yesterday and they said she is estimated at lil over 6lbs right now.

I know but this is my first baby and my vagina feels really tight i can't even see a hole.=( i haven't had sex since I was 12 weeks, didn't have much of that. My doc said this baby is already big for me and have been telling me not to eat too much cuz i may have a difficult delivery. =( i really wish i could deliver this baby really soon!

at 37 weeks they estimated my baby girl to be 9.5 lbs soooo they are taking her csection tomorrow ill be 38 w 4 d !

yeah she sounds like she is going to be a chunker lol im super excited to see her i cant wait... you arent to far away from seeing your baby either good luck

Your babies weight is fine...my 1st son was 11 days late and was 11 pounds...I am 3 days past due and this one is 8 1/2 to 9 pounds. Every baby is diff and your babies size seems perfect.

I am serious - you are worrying over nothing . Besides there alot of heavy women who end up needing c-sections - has nothing to do with size. Just talk to your doctor - she/he will ease your concerns.

Trenton just turned 2 on July 28 and when he was born he was 8 lbs. Bryce (current pregnancy) is not due until Aug 22 and he was 7 lbs almost 2 weeks ago. So I think that no matter what the size is you will do great. I am not a small person but my bf is. She was 86 lbs when she got pregnant last year she just had her baby boy on July 23 and she was only 125 lbs. Jordan was 7 lbs born 2 1/2 weeks early. She did great. You will too!!!! Good luck!
