When did you stop working?

I'm still working full time and i was just wondering when you stopped working? a week or two before your due date or until you went into labor??? Or did you just know and didnt go to work anymore?

I'm getting paranoid about going into labor at work and freaking out?!? My husband is away for tech school and i have my parents here but they work also and are about 30-40 mins away... so I'd have to wait until someone could pick me up... then take me to the hospital.

I worked the day I was induced.

i stopped working as of august 4th (37 weeks) if i could still work till the end i would but its just to exhausting for me i get really swollen and sooo tired i feel like im pushing myself to much but if you can do it i say work till your water breaks lol because then you get to spend more time with your peanut

thats another reason i'm getting induced. if he doesn't come early then i can work up until i get induced. the hospital i'm going to is right down the highway from where i work. i could probably drive myself. lol.

Right now im not 100% sure that ill be returning to work... my husband wants me to take some time off since day care is an arm and a leg here for an infant. we are allowed 13 wks off of work paid since ive been with the company more than a year. so ill have to come back sometime in dec or jan if i work til my due date.

i was also going to speak with my dr about getting induced the friday before im due so my husband would be able to spend the weekend here with us but im not sure that they will allow me to do that or not since i havent had any issues with my pregnancy... but i guess its worth a try.

my last day was last friday!!   lol I am 31 weeks. I was going to work longer but they were going to cut my hours down to almost nothing and i was working at a daycare so...being bent over and picking up 30-40 lb kids all day was getting rough! I am not going back after the baby is born and its nice to have this time to relax and get things done...( we just moved...lol )

yeah can't hurt to ask. when i asked he said it was no problem and that 99% of all his delieveries were induced . he said its just more convient for him and the parents because ur not rushing back and forth from the hospital.

i was going to stop working at the end of next week but i called our hr department and they said i'd have to get another FMLA claim approved from my dr saying there is a reason for my leave to begin early... i would be 35 wks. but im going to try and hold out until end of the month i guess?
but if i go into labor i have to call metlife who handles our FMLA for my short term leave after i have the baby and then they call the dr to verify... its so retarded...

yea but if im induced does that up my chances of having a c-section?? alot of the drs in town here have high c- section rates because they induce...

I had to stop at the end of June even though I wasn't due until August.

Yeah i only get 6 weeks Payedis an effect 6 days after im taken out workand then2 more weeks unpaid so basically 8 weeks with my pumkin. but i believe my 6 weeks payed start as of next week so im asking the doctor to induce me at 39 weeksso i can have time with her

well as of tuesday Miley was still not in positionthe doc told me if by Monday she isnt in place we wold be discussing csection  

I want to stop working now but my "maternity leave" doesn't start until the day the baby is born. It's stupid to me because it's not like they are paying me anyway. I'm on 100% commission. But I do have production goals to meet in order to maintain fulltime status. If I don't keep my production up, I lose my benefits. So basically, I have no choice but to work until the day the baby is born just so my insurance will still be there. And I will still have to work from home while I'm on my leave. In my industry, you just can't take a break. Business would completely stop and take months to get back on track if you stop.
