my pp appt is today....

My little one was 6wks old on tuesday, so that means it's time for the 6wk pp appt, for some odd reason im soooo nervous about going...im not sure why. Im decided to go with mirena for a bc method. I have heard that it hurts when you get it, anyone have any advice for me??? and i stopped bleeding around 2wks pp, and i haven't had my period yet, is this normal? and NO, there's NO WAY in hell i'm prego! lol, just wondering how ur pp check up's went!!! thanks!

Ive never gone to a pp checkup so I'm curious if Mirena hurts...I heard different sides...but I havent talked to that many people about it.

i've had the mirena for about 2 mos now. It just feels like normal period cramps when they put it in, not painful at all. But the down side is I bled heavy for the first 3 weeks, I'm still spotting now.  

I'm far from needing it, but thinking of post partum BC I'm considering the ring... or nothing at all. It took us two years to get prgo in the first place, and if we got prego back to back it wouldn't hurt my feelings except maybe missing out on breast feeding longer.
I heard BC can dry up your milk supply. Is that true?

they have certian BCs that you can take while your Breastfeeding its called the mini pill thats what im gettting on 1 wk after i have my daughter

Iloved my I had it 4 21/2 years, and they put it in @ my 6 week pp.It pinched a little. not that bad. My Dr. told me it wont hurt as bad because I was still dilated a little .and we could have sex that night, and in Nov. 07 we took it out because we wanted 2 try for another baby.It took 3 months and we were pregnant!!!! I will be getting a IUD @ my 6 week appt again!!!! good luck!!!!

I had my "6 week" apt this week (I'm not 6 weeks until next week but my dr will be out) .. but I'm so nervous about having sex.. I don't want to get pregnant again (not for a few years.. and when it's planned) My dr. doesn't put Mirena in until 3 months PP   I know either one of us can't wait that long but I'm just really scared..
