posted 6th Aug
I got a 3rd degree tear when i delivered my daughter on monday morning. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with this and wouldn't mind talking?

I haven't delivered yet, but I'm really scared I'll have 3rd degree tears. I've been celibate for 8 months, so, I'm REALLY small. How bad are 3rd degree tears?

Well, i havent had one but i dread ripping.. or getting cut anywheres.. but i guess what needs to be done needs to be done   a 3rd degree, that would be as bad as it can get?.. did you feel anything when it was hapening.. or what, ahhh i feel kinda dumb

a 4th degree is the worst. it's where you rip your perineum all the way from your vagina to anus. so a 3rd degree is a bit better than that

You need to do perineal stretching google it!! I did it a month before delivery and didn't tear and I had a 9lb 10 oz baby.

Well my baby girl was 9 pounds 7 ounces so i got a cut and i teared. I just ended up having a really big baby with a big head lol They had to use 3 vaccums and the forceps to get her out

You poor thing I was lucky that my son that was 9lbs didn't have a huge head! I hope you feel better. My friend tore like that witha barely 6 lb baby but it took awhile but she healed just fine!

I had a second degree tear and only had about 7 or 8 stitches (They never told me.. I kinda estimated by when she was doing them ahah) but my friend who had her baby in may had 45 stitches  I dunno what degree of a tear she got but I'd imagine a 4

I had a 2nd degree tear. My son was 9lbs 130z with a huge head, too. He was born July 12th, and I still hurt!

TMI, but does anyone know if sex is any different when you tear? And I know you're supposed to wait 6 weeks to have sex, but is it seriously healed by then? I feel like I'll always be in pain! I don't even want to THINK about sex.
