If a baby is born exactly 37 weeks, that isn't preemie is it?
When Corbin was born (right on 37 weeks) we had to run out and buy all preemie clothes... He was a little butt. lol.
And I never actually thought about it, but then I started thinking 'wait... IS that preemie?"
Please don't think I would be upset if he was, LOL! I am just curious... haha.

No, I believe 37 weeks is term.

36 weeks is full term. So he wasn't premature, just a small baby!!

Hmm...I don't know b/c it is technically concidered full term. He doesn't necessarily need to be a preemie to be teeny, though.
My daughter was 8 lbs at birth, and had one pair of preemie sized pants that fit her for about 5 minutes, lol

i think 37 wks means it can come out... or 38 somthing like thtat and its not a premmie?

37 is term.

Lorelai was born at 39 weeks. She probably could have fit in preemie clothes, even though she was 7 pounds, 7oz. She was SO dang tiny. Still is! We can fit some 3-6 months on her and she is almost 11 months old

hell, my son was born at 40 weeks and 9.5 pounds and had some preemie stuff.

i thought anywhere between 36 weeks and 41 weeks was considered full term

I was born at term and I was preemie sized. I was just veryyyyy small. My dad had to drive2 hoursto buy clothes that fit me. We lived in a rural area and preemie clothes were hard to come by in those days! I was only 5 lbs and a few ounces. I was perfectly healthy though. A bit of jaundice, but not even enough for them to keep us in the hospital longer.

My boy was born at 41w 1d and he had some preemies clothes also thats why I keep debating over what to take for the picure outfits for the new one.

under 36 weeks is preemie, 36-37 is near term, and above 38 is full term. My son was 8 lbs 9 oz and was still too small for new born clothes for the first couple of weeks so i think thats normal.
