Make sure your nail clippers are sharp that way you don't have to go back and re-cut any nails.

The Snappi worked really well for me when Cameron was still a newborn/infant. But now he sits still and likes to get his nails clipped, so I just use a regular one.

The day i brought my daughter home my sister who is supposedly a baby expert said that she would cut the nails. Well she CUT her LoL. After that I was so scared that I bit her nails until she was about 18 mths old. You can always feel where your teeth are and if you've got skin. Or you can always try when she is sleeping.

it sounds gross but I found that biting them off was the best way. My son moved so much i could never cut his and he was always scratching himself so my MIL told me to try it. At first I thought it was gorss, but as long as the babies hands are clean its not that bad.

i waited until she was alseep... other then that, some people say to bite them off? but that would make me more nervous.... maybe gloves? haha, im just throwing them all out there.... you could trim them while she was feeding, i did that a few times.... or just hold her down and do it

I have someone hold him and feed him, then I trim his nails, while he's eating. He doesn't seem to mind too much that way.

Yep, biting them off is an easy solution. You can also trim them with clippers while baby is asleep. It's so much easier when they're not moving.

When my son was younger, I would have someone give him a bottle while I cut them.

I have the scissor looking clippers instead of the ones that look like fingernail clippers--- i enjoy them....

I used to bite Ted's when he was a lot smaller, now he just lets me cut them with baby clippers.

I wait until my daughter is sleepy, like right before nap or bedtime, and she just sits there and watches me do it. (She used to flail and clinch the fists.. so this is a HUGE improvement)

they say your not supposed to bite your babys nails because you can give them an infection? or whatever? but i was always soooo afraid to clip them, even with the teeny weeny baby nail clippers, so bit them off too, and my son alwaysclenchedhis hands and i would just unroll his fingers. OR you could do it while shes feeding-get daddy to do it if your hands are full
