re: funny/shocking/frustrating pregnancy stories

My SIL Brandi was in town with her 4 youngest (her husband is in the ARMY and is stationed in NY) so my hubby and I went to visit at his moms house so we could see the little ones and show Brandi the ultrasound pictures. I knew I would be in for a barrage of questions from the kids, but I was not prepared for what I got. The two youngest (Sassi 3, and Max 4) were the most talkative and these are the comments we got:
Max, upon seeing me for the first time pregnant: Wow aunt Lynn, YOU GOT FAT! (and then continued to poke my belly)
Sassi, after seeing the ultrasound pictures: So... Is the baby going to be black?
It took me almost half an hour to explain why the baby was black in the ultrasound picture, but would be white when he was born. lmao!

Oh, ever since I've been taking my prenatal pills (I'm 10W4D now) I have had the most RAncid gas ever...I mean it will clear a room, and it is constant.
So me and the S/O are lying in bed watching TV, when I farted really loud, I swear I saw the sheets move. then all of a sudden, I hear this scream as he's running out of the bedroom stumbling over the clothes on the floor

I guess I have a couple of funny or amusing stories myself.
We are now expecting our first child together and my husband is totally new to this. However, just after the morning sickness part of pregnancy, there was a stomach bug going around. My four year old son was up throwing up most of the night. No sooner did he get done and I started. I was already showing pretty good and was about 16 weeks or so along. Well I was throwing up for like the 4th or 5th time and my husband walked in and asked if I was ok. I managed a gagged "no!" and started throwing up again. Then I looked at him with tears streaming out of my eyes and told him to get the hell out.
Poor guy looked so hurt and confused that I felt kinda bad for him, even though I was puking so hard it hurt. I said, "I'm sorry hon, but I just threw up so hard I peed all over the floor and I'm embarrassed. So please, get the hell out."
He understood and tried to make me feel better about it.
Another time, at about 25 weeks, I was watching a Lifetime movie and it made me bawl, of course. Well after the movie got over, I couldn't stop. My husband slept late from working late the night before. So when he came downstairs, he found me sobbing, He asked what was wrong, looked really upset, started yelling at the kids for being naughty. I managed to tell him through hicups that the kids didn't do anything. He asked what was wrong then and looked even more confused. I said " I DON'T KNOW! I JUST STARTED CRYING AND NOW I CAN'T STOP!" I cried for like an hour. He just held me and tried to make me feel better. It made me laugh right after cause it was so bazaare and he was so lost as to what he should do. LOL
Then last night, at about 33 weeks, I made him queche for dinner. He's been having a tough time at work and I had been feeling bad. Well for some reason the queche burned on the outside, and looked like goo on the inside and I baked it at the right temp for the right time and had made it a millon times before. I started crying and he was like "Honey, it's ok. It's not a big deal." I was like "Yeah right! You have a horrible day at work and then come home to burnt goo! Now you get a crappy dinner to top of the day." He insisted on trying it and insisted that it tasted fine. I think he was just trying to make me feel better. It worked, but I still felt bad.

Ah, when I was around 10 weeks, I had some leftover pasta from the restraunt. I'm a very picky eater, always the sauce on the side. Well I poured what seemed like a reasonable amount on the food, heated it and went and sat with my boyfriend and his friends to chow. Well I realized the pasta was drowning in the sauce, my eyes start welling in tears. I start bawling and yelling how I should have made ice cream. They all just looked at me, not knowing what to do with the crazy pregnant woman.

I have more of a question and would like some answers if any of you have any.
I have a screening for smith lemli opitz and they wanted to do an ultrasound and amnio. I go in to do both and as far as I knew was told that I was 18 weeks. After the ultrasound they said that my baby looked to only be 16 weeks. Is it possible that my baby is just small? My cycle started on Feb 2. and Ended on the 7th. So I would've concieved around the 21st if I am not mistaken. Yet they are trying to tell me it would've been around March 5th, which makes no sense because Iwas already late for my next cycle by then. Can anyone help clarify the confusion?!?!?!
Thanks, Lo-Lo

ok I've sat here and read every post for the past 3 days and every day I sit and laugh so hard because it's just so funny. I have a couple funny stories to add both from my little girl moving.
Well when I first started feeling the baby move I was about a week ahead of the "normal" week you start feeling it. I think it was 17 weeks? but anyways I thought I felt her but I just had no idea so my husband sat there with his hand on my belly and just couldn't feel what I was feeling and I moved his hand over a little and we sat there quitely about 30 seconds later he gasped and lept across the room freaking out because the baby moved... he's said she's an alien ever since haha.
the second one was a few weeks ago when we were getting ready to go to Florida for a few days. I was 24 almost 25 weeks along and we were up at 4am (not fun) while he was getting dressed I was admiring my little girl stirring around in my stomach and I went "babe look" and he looked and told me how cool it was and while we're staring she pokes her head out one side of my stomach and her butt or feet out of the other side of my stomach and turns. one end went down and the other end went up. I have never seen my husband jump up so fast. he yet again bolted across the room pointing his finger at my belly yelling "NO" I lauged for a good 5 minutes at him. he wouldn't touch my belly again for a while haha.

There are some hilarious stories on here! I have a few of my own...
When I was about 9 or 10 weeks me and Dh were at Canadian Tire looking for a rice steamer that was on sale. Since I became pregnant I have NO co-ordination and I was holding a hot chocolate that was about half full. Well we were looking around and the hot chocolate slipped out of my hand. Dh turned around and asked what happened, innocent question right? WRONG! I yelled "well you know how you drop stuff? Sometimes I do that too" and stormed away to find some paper towels leaving him with his mout open just staring at me. When I told my Mom she nearly pissed herself laughing...That's pregnancy hormones!
This just happened today and I don't know what the hell I was thinking! Living on a border town I get to watch the Canadian and American fireworks...At work we are going to have this big dress up for Canada Day and it got my pregnant brain thinking....I can't go to the fireworks this year because the noise is going to hurt the baby! I told one of my co-workers this and she started laughing! I was dead serious about it though so she explained that I might get a few kicks from the baby because of the noise it will not die or go deaf or anything like that....Now I just feel stupid and embarrased! Oh the joys of being a first time Mom!! Hope you all enjoyed!

Yeah... you may not have gotten pregnant RIGHT when your period ended. It could have been a little later.

Ok I dont know how funny this is but I have one. I went to walmart about a week ago to get groceries and a fathers day present for my hubby. I got all my groceries and got his camera. I went to check out and they already had it rang up when I realized I had forgotten my checkbook. The cashier laughed at me and said she wouls hold all my stuff while I went back home to get it.

My little girl apparently doesn't like me putting ANYTHING on my tummy. I have a monitor thingy I got from Target and I noticed her moving around, so I set it on top of my belly. Didn't strap it down or anything like you are supposed to. So I'm sitting there when all of a sudden it starts wiggling around like crazy. She was right under it kicking with all her might. Finally just plain kicked it off my belly. It was cute. I'm 20w6d today.

This just happened yesterday,,,
I'm a singer and my band had a gig yesterday for the first time since I have been pregnant...Usually I wear something that screams rocker, but yesterday I just couldn't get any of my gigging clothes to fit, I tried, All I felt was fat and not very rocker like.. So I decided to adjust my musical attire and make some clothes fit, I pulled out my scissors and began adjusting.. It was way too hot for pants and a normal shirt , I was not going to wear a mini skirt and leg warmers, so I got my fairy skirt got the belly area taken care of so it hung below my belly, and put on a bikini and wore a belly shir over it, so my belly hung out and I was finally comfy, all my insicure zones were covered and we had a lot of fun.. Of course the whole omg your pregnant thing got a little old because it came from druken people who thanks to pregnany smelled really strong.. I smiled and soon it was over.. My one complaint was that my feet hurt soooo Badly afterward I just wanted to elevate them and go into solitude for an entire day... Which I did...

I'm in the Navy and I had a "board" where my supervisors ask me a bunch of questions pertaining to the job I'm trying to qualify for. They were asking me about certain keys and which number each went with. I knew them by heart, but when they asked me a number I couldn't for the life of me recall which key it was for! I just had a total brain fart!
