My son isn't talking as much as he used to
posted 5th Aug
My son is a little over 3 months old and just recently discovered his hands. Before this he was ALWAYS cooing to us and talking like crazy... but just this past week he's slowed down on the talking and won't stop sucking on his fingers. Is this normal? Shouldn't he be talking more and more each week?

He's only three months. There's nothing to worry about. If he was actually talking andjust stopped all of a sudden, thenI'd say there might be a problem.

My daughter did that, It became all about the hands...then the feet, the giggles and babbeling will come back

Don't worry he has a whole entire body to explore, and discover. He's just really intent on what he's learning about. Think of it as he has just found the newest and coolest toy, hang on he's gong to be doing the same thing for years with everything.

My son is discovering his hands right now too and is also babbling a lot less! I was wondering the same thing.
