Too Soon for another C-section?

Ok, first off, I'm not entirely sure I'm pregnant yet, I go for my blood test tomorrow. I had my first son in 2006 via emergency c-section, my second son in 2008 via planned c-section and I'm afraid I'm pregnant again. I've been on the pill (different brands than before) but I'm afraid I might be pregnant again. My monthly is always super regular. I haven't got it yet and it was due 5 days ago. I took a pregnancy test, it was negative, but I was frantic and took it late at night.
On to my real question...how safe is the pregnancy going to be if I am? I mean, having c-sections so close together can lead to uterine rupture can't it? I'm pro-choice, but I'd always choose to have my baby...(my first son was placed for adoption). I guess I'm just wondering if any of you have had c-sections this close together? Any complications? What were they?

My doctor told me to wait 2 years before even getting pregnant again, but I'm due a few weeks before my son turns 2.

I'm going to attempt to VBAC but at the first sign of trouble I'll take the c-sec. I'd much rather be safe than sorry.
