please help, twins kicking?

posted 4th Aug
Hi ladies,
well im 19 weeks pregnant with twins and started feeling quickening at around 17 weeks, and kicks at around 18 weeks.
Some days my twins kick alot but other days i dont feel them as much.
like maybe 3 kicks each here and there aout 3 times a day, and im wondering should i be worried or is it normal to not feel them very frequently at this stage.
should i already be keeping kick counts?
and is there a way i can make them kick to know if they're ok?

I honestly dont remember how much I felt them kick around that time. Anytime I eat or drink my twins move all around. You can always call the doctor and ask if you should be doing a kick count.

i'm a twin and my mom said she never slept because while one was sleeping the other was kicking so u might want to enjoy this time now cause i know with my one moving the way he is right now ur are really gonna be complaining in a couple of months. and yes its normal to not feel them so much right now. its when u get to my stage that if u don't feel them u start to worry.

Mine have their days. Somedays I can't get them to stop and others they don't do much at all. My doctor told me as long as they move a little bit not to worry. If it continues for days to mention it and if they feel it's necessary they will monitor them.

you usually dont start kick counts til about 26 weeks or so. most dont feel movement at all until well after 20 weeks. if you are concerned you need to speak with ur dr or at least ur drs office. they are the only ones that can tell you for sure.

Twin mother here. That's normal. When they are kicking, it usually means that they are fighting for space. Then when they find it, they settle down, until one starts to get in the space of the other, then the kicks start again. It's not much room in there for one, letalone two. Drink something real cold, that'll get them moving, wait until you get further along. At 28 + plus weeks we would lay on the bed and watch my stomach- itwould rock up and down, almost like an earthquake.

HAHA yeah just this morning my husband woke me up and said that the twins were having a dance party while I was sleeping. He was watching my belly move all over the place. Its amazing what I can sleep through right now, I am always so exhausted!

for a singleton pregnancy you should feel between 3-4 kicks an hour. Now, babies do have lazy days so, normally it's suggested you drink some juice and lay on your side to get them going again. I've only had singleton pregnancies so, IDK what is normal for twins. Have you googled this? try there first and if you don't get your answer, ask your DR. only they can tell you what is normal and what activity they are expecting.

awwwwwe thats so cute!, i cant wait till mine do that!, this pregnancy has been so hard from day one, that would just be the highlight of it all, and make all of this sickness seem like nothing lol.

for all the ladies who've had twins already, did you have a vaginal or cesarian?

i'm not trying to be rude but i think that's incorrect and rather vague information. or i could be wrong as well. anyways i was told when i began kick counts at about 28 weeks, that if i did not feel my son move 10 times in an hour(during the kick counts) that i was to call the hospitla. but of course babies do sleep. so maybe that's what you were referring to...was their "down" time.

Oh yeah, having a twin pregnancy is definitely not a cup o' tea! Its been very hard on my body. I am so ready for them to be here and healthy, it will be very worth it to see their faces! I am planning on a vaginal birth right now, both babies are head down and have been for several weeks!
