Getting off a form of BC and TTC--Issues?

I’m Tasha and I’m new to this website. My Husband and I have two children, boy and a girl and want one more and last baby. Aug is our first month of ttc. I’ve been on the Mirena IUD for 2 years and just had it removed last week. I was scheduled to have my AF on Aug 1st but instead I spot bled for the first half of the day on Aug 2. I’m confused because I never bled for half a day while on AF and don’t know if that was the start of my AF or if maybe I was spotting due to the removal of my IUD. Aug 3 I spotted for the last half the day and as of now—no more spotting? Could that have been my AF? or spotting from the IUD being taken out? Keep in mind I got the IUD removed 2 days before I spot bled. My AF’s were pretty regular while on the IUD and exactly 14 days later I would feel PMS symptoms for O. I’m praying that that was my AF and maybe it was light, short and off and on because of the IUD gone, but who knows.
I really hope to O this month. Does this sound like an AF to you all? Has anyone had a form of BC in the past or now that they gotten off of and having a hard time getting pregnant? Or experienced irregular periods once off BC?

i had the non hormone IUD for 3 years and had it removed Dec 07 to start TTC.
we found out in March that we were pregnant.

I had my IUD removed on July 7th, and started on YAZ for about 3 weeks. Don't know why but we did. Then Stopped the pill on July 27th and Have been trying TTC since then. I did start AF early but it was only for about 3 days. My doctor said that could happen for the first one. I wouldn't worry and I actually think that was your AF! Good luck on trying.

Thanks! And congrats on your pregnancy! So you had the coppeer IUD and it took you about 2-3 mos to conceive? Thats not bad. Is this your first baby?

Yea, I think so too. At least I truly hope it was. Have you had an AF yet this month?

yeah it was the copper IUD. no i have a 7 year old daughter but its so long since ive been pregnant that it feels like that first all over again ... there is so much i have forgotten

Thats understandable. Hows was the copper IUD? Did you have any side effects? I think the mirena used to make my hair shed, I felt bloated alot, low sex drive and the list goes on. I'm happy that its out!

i didnt have any side effects that i can think of, except that one the second day of AF it was really really heavy but that its.
