re: To call INS or not to call INS

I have mostly lived in Ontario, Chino, Rialto, Alta Loma, and Upland my entire life. I went to Chaffey High School. The only thing that has ever bothered me is almost everyone assuming that I speak spanish based on my last name or that I guess I look like I would.

Oh I grew up around San Diego and Los Angeles and people come up to me and start speaking Spanish. It doesn't bother me, but I could see how it could bother others.

It was not so much the fact that they started speaking in spanish to me but they fact the once they found out I only spoke english they gave me dirty looks and implied that I was betraying (sp?) my ethinic background.

Oh yeah, lol. I remember they placed me in a beginner spanish class in high school instead of native. I wasn't the only one, and before we got transferred, a lot of the native speakers were bashing the hispanic beginners who didn't know any spanish. It was ridiculous.
