Induced tomorrow at 4:30am...

So as some of you know I am being induced tommorrow at 4:30 am.. Im so excited I cant freakin' stand it!! Im going to try to take a nap around 5 o clock today because I know that I wont sleep a wink tonight.. I have to get in the shower at around 2 or so, so me and my mom can leave the house at about 3:30. We have to stop and pick up her friend Zella which is like my 2nd mom, and since my mom can't handle seeing her kids in pain, and blood and guts, Zella will be in the room with me instead!! My mom feels really bad about not being in the room, and i've tried explaining to her that it would be better for both of us that way because she would just be a nervous wreck which would make me nervous but she still is bummed about it..
Plan on stuffing my face tonight right before midnight because thats when they told me that I could eat until.. So im making a roast to chow down on all night.. mmm..yummy!!
Anyways, just thought i would fill you ladies in on whats going on in my life today and see if you have any last minute tips for me, or what to expect!!

I have a question...exactly what do they do to induce you. I'm really considering asking if I can be because I'm absolutely miserable and can't take being pregnant any more. I know that's weird but I really just can't deal with this much longer not just because I want to see my little one but because I'm just sick all the time and really getting really depressed about how very little I can actully do.

Well, don't hold me to this because im not sure that every dr. does this... But my Dr. is going to hook me up to an IV (which in labor you have to have anyway) and they run a drug through it called pitocin.. (I think there are a few other drugs to..cervidal?? maybe not sure..) Some people have told me that being induced is 10x worse than regular labor.. Im getting an epi though so im trying to think positive!! I also know that some doctors wont induce you until you are at least one week overdue (Part of the reason I chose the Dr. that i have is because he believes in inducing all of his patients a week early) but the Dr. I had before him doesn't induce early ever unless its an emergency..

I had Pitocin, it make my contractions come every 2-3 minutes, they were strong but i could barely feel them  

My induction ended in a csection though..

Ah okay. I thought it'd be diffrent than that for some reason like ..actully doing something not like a drug. And I understand that they won't always just let you be induced I was just really hoping I mean I'm due on the 14th so i'ts like 1 week and 4 days till then. And my next appointment isn't till the 8th so I'll be like 6 days till my due date.

I am praying to the labor gods that I don't have to have a C-section, but i've also heard it's not bad at all... If you don't mind me asking, why did it end up being C-section?

it's so exciting to know that I won't have to wait any longer!! But knowing what day you are having your baby will make the clock slow waaaayy down.. Then again, at the end of pregnancy the clock probably slows waaay down anyway for everyone lol..

I'm due friday and unfortunately my doctor is one of the ones that doesn't believe in inducing early unless there's a problem, so i'll go 1 week over due 8/15 if i have to be induced...it sucks and i'm miserable too, but it's only 2 more weeks i think i can deal....i think..lol

lucky you I really am hard pressed to make it to the 8th I'm so tired.

Naw, a csection isn't bad at all! The only thing I was worried about was the spinal, and if you plan on getting an epi anyways, then you are probably a little mentally prepared for it? not me, I was scared SHITLESS of that needle..and then..I didn't even feel it, and by the next day I was up and walking! it's hard at first, but you just have to remember, move with your arms and legs, NOT your stomach lol.

It ended up in a csection because I went in with a closed cervix and was only 80% effaced, they couldn't give me cervidil to ripen my cervix because I have asthma, and it's been known to cause attacks, so they could only give me pitocin, I was on that for 18 hours, had contractions for 16 hours and never progressed any, they said I was at 1cm, but im pretty sure my doc just threw that out there bcause he tried to check me during a contraction and it hurt so bad that I like squirmed away lol.. They told me I could go home, and come back and try it all over again, or opt for a csection. I chose the csection, at that point I was so tired and ready to have my baby, I just didn't want to wait anymore! lol.
