Grants. [confused]

Okay, I am completely clueless on exactly what a Grant is. Like a Government Grant. How easily available could one be to me? you don't have to pay them back, right?
Evan and I are over and I'm getting my own apartment and i fell on some hard times and am negative in my bank account with no hope of ever getting out... I need help and I have no idea where to get it. I don't need food stamps, I need money to use on various things....

Tanif, go to your local dhs office and ask about it and if you qualify for foodstamps you might as well get them, any money you don't have to spend on groceries can go towards rent. Where in Oklahoma are you from?

I'm actually from Huntington, IN. And then I moved to Booneville, AR. and then I met Evan and after Tarren was born, we moved to Roland, OK. [where he's from]. But now I'm moving to Van Buren, AR.... confusing, I know.

BUt as far as grants I don't really know of anything that you could get, but I know that you should be able to get assistance from the state, and they will help pay for child care too. I just got finished helping my friend get on several different programs like wic and food stamps. I believe with TANIF you have to work at least 37 hours a week and they will give you so much extra money on top of that.
