big head toddler?

Ok so on the 11th I'm going in to get my 14month old head measured again. They dr noticed at his 12month check up that his head was on the big side. She told me to bring him back to get it remeasured and to talk about a mri on it. Has anyone else toddler had to go thru this? I mean I'll admit his head is way bigger then my 3yr old but he acts perfectly normal for his age. Maybe I'm just worrying to much thats what I get from reading stuff on the net.

we went through this with Bump for a while. Her head was inches bigger than normal. INCHES not Centimeters. BUT they did an xray and an mri and everything was fine. then doc looked through this book and measured hubby's and my head and did some calculations. turns out, its just in her genes to have a big noggin. Do you or hubby have a big one? not like humongous big, just have to get large hats or something?

Both my girls have large heads. When my first was little, our pediatrician measured my head and my husbands. She called us back a day later and told us after she looked at some norms, my husbands head is huge and she had just inherited his big head.

Has your doctor measure your heads?

My sisters kids have big heads, but they're fine... I hope you are told the same!

my hubby's like that too his nickname in school was fathead haha, and my sons got his head.

my daughter has a huge head too. i was the concerned one though and her doctor just said that she had a big head when she was born and she would always have a big head. i was pretty prepared for that since my dad's side of the family all have large heads.
