ok girls, for those that don't know the situation, I haven't ovulated in over 4 years, and I've been OPK testing since January with nothing even close to a surge. Well this month, thanks to 100mg of Clomid, I FINALLY ovulated. I'm beyond thrilled needless to say but now I'm looking at my OPKs trying to figure out which day my O was on.

Ok, so I know that CD 17-19 were positive but I'm trying to figure out which one is daker, 18 or 19. My CM was pretty dry due to the Clomid, but I had watery CM on 17 and 18, and then creamy on 19-21.

Anyway, just looking for some help, thanks girls!

Um, I'm not experienced with this, but you aren't getting any help right now...and I can see lines! I think 19 is just a LITTLE darker than 18, jmo.

thanks so much! That's what i was thinking too, but my DH and a friend said they didn't agree wtih me. I guess it's not a big deal if I am off from my O a day or two, but for testing purposes I want to know, lol.

I think 18 and 19 look equally dark, so I would say it was definitely the 19th or 20th that you ovulated, but I really couldn't choose between them

the 17th 18th and 19 th look very dark .. So I would say probably Oed on the 18th or 19th I think they are just a bit darker!

Rachel, I also checked my ovulation this month and I got the definate dark line on two days in a row. I am sorry if this is a stupid question, but doesn't ovulation take a couple of days. The egg makes it way through the tube into the uterus and there it remains fertil for 24 hours, right? Doesn't that process take a few hours and therefore we are equally fertil on two days of the month?  Again, I am sorry if that was stupid.

From what I understand, the positive OPKs are the surge of hormones before ovulation takes place, so usually ovulation comes after the line turns dark and then starts to fade. From the time the egg comes out of the follicle it will live about 12-24 hours. So actual ovulation is a short period of time. The few days comes from the sperm, cause it goes up there and can stay alive for a few days, so if you have sex 3 days before ovulation, you can still get pregnant.

BTW, there's no such thing as a stupid question so you don't need to worry about that!

YAY!!!! Congrats on your positive OPK's!! Don't worry about which day is darker. You could have conceived any of those days.  I BD'ed once 2 days before my positives and due to timing couldn't with hubby when I did get the +'s! I still got pregnant and it was on a negative opk day (I guess maybe the spermies waited too)!   Good luck, I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Hmmm, well if the surge goes down again during ovulation, I would say you ovulated on the day 20. The lines on day 18 and 19 look darkest to me. Thank you for the "lesson" I will have to revise my calender - So must have ovulated on July 27th and not the 26th. 

You typically O within 2 days of the FIRST positive opk, so i would say you ovulated on day 19. How many dpo does that make you now??

yeah I hope I get another positive this month on a BFP, hehe. but I'm just so happy that I finally Oed....you have no idea! I'm on CD22 today, so if I Oed on CD 19 I'd be 3DPO.

My pos were on 17 and 18 too, im at the end of CD 21 just now....cant wait to test! I know it is a big relief to O, regular girls dont know how lucky they are! Hopefully we will get BFP and never have to worry about catching O ever again lol. lots an lots of luck goin your way girlie

yeah no kidding....With as excited as I am about the +OPK you'd think I got it on an HPT, lol. What day are you testing? I'm testing on the 16th, which will be CD 35 and, hopefully, 16 DPO

My luteal last month was either 16 days or 9 days (crazy temps)   But ive had alot of 13 day luteals recently so i think 14dpo is a good day! That is the 15th. If af doesnt show i'll do my best to hold out and test on the 16th... then maybe we can celebrate together  

haha even figuring out testing days is difficult! i will be so glad to get a bfp and be able to forget all about charting and all!
